And now, the end is near, and so I face the final curtain...Okay, maybe that's a tad dramatic, but we are seeing a few curtains fall. We've seen 2014 close after all. And with the end of the year, we also see the end of the first ever games beaten challenge on Guide2Games.

My, my where does time go? I wish I knew, especially when it came to this little contest. Of course, knowing where all my time goes in real life might help to. I'd sure like to drag some of that time back a ways. But what can you do?

Stepping Back into the Ring

I could make all kinds of cracks about the title of this post. After all, I've been a bit out of the gaming scene for a while, so you could say I've been out of the ring. Or you could say I haven't posted much lately, so I've been out of the ring on this blog too. I figured it was appropriate since something happens tomorrow, but I really can't put my finger on it...

Well, I thought it was about time to give some idea of what kind of games I've been playing for that little contest I've mentioned. Rather than start at the beginning, I thought I'd start at the end. This was the most recent game I've beaten, number 60 if you're counting, and it was certainly a step into uncharted territory for me.

I'd never played a game like Shining in the Darkness, mostly because I didn't know about it for a long time.

Greetings, programs. I don't know why, I just find Jeff Bridge's line from Tron funny. I guess it fits too, seeing as this is a blog for programs, just ones you can have a little fun with and waste your time with all at the same time. Personally, I prefer the having fun bit.

Now, you may be wondering more about why this blog exists, where the name came from, why I have a page marked 'leader board,' etc. Well, I can't say as I blame you, but it'll all come in time.
